We all value health. But why?
Because of what having good health allows us to do.
We value being in good health so that [fill in the blank] ?.
You can grow old with your spouse.
You can travel the world.
You can chase after your grandkids one day.
You can _________ (fill in the blank).
Being healthy gives us the ability to live long, happy, meaningful and satisfying lives.
But, it doesn’t guarantee those things.
- If your “clean” eating rules and obsessive exercise regimens have become your life.
- If you’re constantly canceling dinner dates in order to stick to your “healthy” routine.
- If you’re spending family vacations in the hotel gym.
Because, what you’re really cancelling and missing out on is all the [blanks] in your life!
Because, life’s too damn short to sit it out in the name of “healthy”.
What you really want for your life, the legacy you really want to leave behind is all those things you filled in those blanks with, isn’t it?
It’s those things that you want to be able to look back on and remember when it’s all said and done—not that you had flat abs and never ate a brownie.
Not only that, but… how sad?! How sad and what a damn shame to have not enjoyed any delicious pleasures in life, let loose, explored the world, or cultivated deep and meaningful relationships over a shared slice of chocolate cake and a glass of red wine. To have never lived the life you truly wanted because you were too preoccupied with tracking macros and workouts in MyFitnessPal.
